Mar 13, 20221 Mar 14, 2022 #1 I’m playing stranded and using a 1 block wide drop to collection area so I want to prevent spiders from spawning inside if I can. If not I guess I’ll rebuild it and make it 2×2 so they spiders fit, but until then, any way to prevent them? I used slabs and tried blocks as well, every other space to stop them and it didn’t work.

I could be wrong but based on my understanding in order to spawn spiders need 2 horizontal blocks and one vertical block of space. So to avoid spawning them use a half slab in the middle of a 3×3 spawning pad like so: bbb bhb bbb If you want spider eyes or string, make a trap specfically for spiders out of a spawner.

Lehk • 3 yr. ago make the channels wider on the lower half, 4 wide then 2 up top Frosty_Potatos • 3 yr. ago i use a lower level of scaffolding (doesn’t block spawns) and an upper layer of water to push mobs. once spiders move up they can’t go back down.baby zombies can be a problem but not really. There should not be water flowing into the hole where the campfires are located. Take a look at 3:34 in the video, there is no water flowing into the hole, just to the edges.
